After studying journalism, Rachel moved into advertising, brand and marketing, working on household name brands such as Flora. She also worked on producing Unilever’s global marketing trainee programme.
Realising she had a passion for digital user experience, she then moved into digital content strategy. Starting as a team of one, she built and led a team of 7 content experts creating and optimising insurance journeys for brands such as M&S, John Lewis, MORE TH>N and Nationwide.
She then spent time at Deliveroo designing global content for the rider app, before moving to Clearleft.
From strategy to UX writing
Rachel’s on a mission to make sure content is recognised as the foundation of a good user experience – whether it’s strategy, content design, or improving conversion through copy improvements.
Her book Why you need a content team and how to build one was published in 2018, and she has published over 30 content design articles on Medium.
She brings a unique blend of creativity and pragmatism to any project team.
Away from the studio
Rachel loves nothing better than a home renovation project. As a mum of two she doesn’t have a lot of free time, but when she does you’ll find her writing, running or enjoying a cocktail or two!
