Innovation: a design discussion
Is human-centred design bad for innovation? That was the provacation behind a recent design discussion.
With a degree in Design Management, Alex spent her first 7 years as a Brand and Experience Strategist for agencies including FITCH, Household and The Future Laboratory. Here she grew a love for not only insights and how to apply them, but for the power of innovation, thought leadership and ground-breaking strategic thinking.
She was fortunate to work with many of the brands that we would class as design leaders including Virgin Atlantic on the future of customer service, and Adidas on their global marketing campaigns.
Having a real head for growing brands as well as communicating their messages Alex made the cross-over into marketing after having her two small children. Here she became an expert in all things digital marketing, from SEO to social media she grew digital marketing teams and results both in-house and agency-side.
At Clearleft she brings a combination of challenger brand thinking with practical know-how to help us make solid marketing choices and extract all the excellent thinking out of the heads of the Clearleft team.
Alex spends her spare time thinking and writing about food, whether that's growing it, fermenting it or eating it (mainly tacos). When she's rarely not eating she'll probably be down the skate park with her kids or swimming in the sea.
