Phew! What a week it’s been at Clearleft Towers. Full of endings and beginnings. Where to start?

I guess with the biggest news - the brilliant Sophie will be leaving us for a full time very senior role at Amex.

All agree it’s been an absolute pleasure working with Sophie over the past couple of years. She's been instrumental in the success of our move into 68 Middle Street, and subsequently for Clearleft becoming a far better organised, more streamlined and professional organisation. She leaves us in a great shape and we wish Sophie the very best of luck in her new job! Lucky Amex, I say.

On Tuesday evening, we hosted Codebar at 68 Middle Street. Jeremy helped some people learn HTML and CSS and found it very rewarding. He’s off to Düsseldorf for Indie Web Camp on the weekend.

James , Jeremy , Charlotte , Andy D, Paul and I celebrated the end of the first phase of our project together with the lovely guys at John Lewis with curry + karaoke (curryoke?) on Wednesday. As is standard (I’m told) Boxman was Kenny Rogers; Jeremy was Dolly Parton; Paul was Alan Partridge (obvs). It was quite some evening.

Andy T and James Bates have continued to visualise the future of Nordic banking.

Mikey is doing some beautiful digital branding work for our lingerie client who is super pleased with the direction it’s going in.

Andy P became a User Experience Design Mentor for UXPA , and is in talks with a London college of design, looking at opportunities to help update their digital product design module and provide a few seminars for the 2015/16 curriculum.

Rich worked on tidying up loose ends on design projects for a school's website, a charity job board and also threw in some consultancy for the lovely people at the Public Catalogue Foundation.

Ben S spoke at UX Oxford, and introduced closed eye portraits to our big publishing client. They used the exercise to get them warmed up for their sketching workshop, and some of the results were pretty special.

Kate continues to make UX London awesome, the office is filling up with deliveries of goodies and conference-y stuff. The Simulcast tickets are sold out, the programme is at the printers, the countdown begins…

Speaking of UX London, in preparation for it we’ve launched a NEW BREWING ARM .

No biggie!

Beerleft will be supplying post-event drinks on day two with it’s inaugural brew, Golden Rod. Prizes to anyone who can guess the geeky reference in the name.

And finally: Ellen got funky new hair (it’s seriously cool), we had a dog in the office (Daphne, Kate’s mum’s miniature sausage dog), Tessa is in New York for 99U , Jess got new kittens and Andy P is organising Geek Carts 2015 - watch this space for updates.
