This week we played host to a veritable smorgasbord of international visitors.

It all began on Monday, when students from Denmark’s International Business Academy visited 68 Middle Street. They were to be entertained by good friends Seb and Aral.

Hours later, we were welcoming St Louis’ finest – Dave Gray – back into the fold. Dave’s books are some of the most well–thumbed in the Clearleft studio, but it was his sketching skills that brought him back to our shores this time. Dave led the Clearleft team through his coveted sketching workshop, pausing only to celebrate Andy’s birthday at the perpetually good Curry Leaf Cafe.

Thursday saw the final Spring Forward event for this year – Ladies That UX – featuring talks on Confidence Hacking, Learning and Leadership.

And if all that wasn’t enough, Make Us Proud’s Anthony Mann kindly dropped–in on Friday to share some smart thinking around the virtues of enactive thinking. There where even live demos. That worked.

Phew.

And of course, there’s the client work.

Ben² and Graham continue to break new ground with a ‘large publishing client’. By all accounts they now have that most sought after of agile virtues: velocity.

James and Andy T just keep producing amazing work. I turn my back and another swathe of quality finds its way on to the wall behind me. Nordic banking will never be the same once these two are done.

Mikey and Mat are well and truly up–and–running with their work on a well–know lingerie brand. This one is exciting too. The challenges of translating a stand–out retail customer experience into the digital realm.

And then there’s the ‘big retailer’ we mentioned before. Only this time, we can reveal that this is none other than the much loved John Lewis. We do love a strong British brand here at Clearleft. Charlotte, Jeremy, Andy D, Paul (that’s right, he’s back), Anna, Jess and myself have had the good fortune of collaborating with their own design team on a new and exciting project. We’re only two weeks in, but this one already feels good. Bundles of enthusiasm and glimpses of a project that will make a real dent.

And so another week passes.

But before I go, I urge you to go and take a quick look at the fruits of Clearleft’s 100 days project. Repetition can indeed be a beautiful thing.

T’ra.
