Although we don't tend to have overt themes for our conferences I find it's helpful to have a narrative to help guide our conversation.
An obvious point for consideration this year is that of (re)connection. It's been an incredibly turbulent time over the past two years. Design leaders have had to manage huge amounts of challenges, changes and complexities within their roles and lives.
To help reflect on this our talks will explore how we address design leadership challenges in the new world in which we now exist. We will have talks about (re)connecting with our teams, across departments and at board level. You’ll hear from leading voices in the industry on how they’re addressing these topics.
In addition to these perennial issues for design leaders, we will also be exploring an issue which really struck a chord with our attendees at Leading Design Festival: how do we connect with ourselves as leaders?

When designing the conference I was also aware of the fact that it has been a long time since many of us have seen each other in person. So many of the design leaders I have met with over the last year have spoken to me about the need to reconnect with peers, and the longing to be in a room together.
We have scheduled plenty of time for you to reconnect with one other at Leading Design New York. In addition to our much-loved cocktail hour, we have made sure to factor in lots of opportunities to stretch your legs and get refreshment. We are known for our excellent conference coffee!
By the end of the conference, I hope to leave you feeling reconnected with your peers, yourself and your purpose.
This event will have limited capacity, so if you would like to attend make sure that you book soon to avoid disappointment.
See you there!
