So the big news this week is that we have a new addition to the Clearleft team. The talented Mike Allan joins us as an Interface Designer. It feels like ages since we first started talking to him, but we're glad to finally have him onboard. We also took this as an opportunity to have a shuffle around in the office - you can only imagine how long it takes a bunch of UX designers to plan and move desks!

Project-wise James, Mark & Jon has been busy up in London undertaking stakeholder interviews and general planning for a relatively new project with for fine wine marketplace Fine+Rare. Meanwhile Ben & Paul are hard at work on a responsive, mobile prototype for one of the UK's leading Children's charities. Finally, Harry & Ben met with Lloyds Pharmacy to kickoff a new project looking at their online doctor service.

Internally, planning continues to keep Andy & Kate busy for UX London, and Jeremy's toiling away on both the Responsive Day Out and dConstruct 2013 conferences. Ongoing discussions with speakers led to a couple of really exciting yeses (watch this space) and a couple of disappointing nos.

We also spent some time thinking about the next Skillswap and have some great ideas for new themes and speakers in 2013. Again, nothing confirmed yet, but we'll make an announcement once we do.

Tuesday night saw the welcome return of the (currently not so) monthly Clearleft Movie Night. This one was curated by Andy, who chose a theme of 'The Unsung Heroes of 2012'. We watched The Raid - Redemption followed by Dredd. Amazingly, they both seemed to be almost the same plot but each approached it very differently. Both were awesome.

Finally, congratulations to Kate who has at long last moved into her new flat, but on the flip-side inevitably had to brave IKEA this week.
