The roster was initially set up in 2001, and this time round has been limited to just seven agencies.

The roster will give us the opportunity to work on visual design, interaction design, user experience and other projects across BBC consumer channels including standalone applications, websites and internet TV. Areas currently under consideration for roster agencies to work on include myBBC, News, Sport, Weather, iPlayer and Children’s programming.

We’ve always been impressed with the BBC’s digital output, from their seminal ‘Glass Door’ report on personalisation, through to more recent work like iPlayer and GEL (global experience language). So we’re really excited to be able to use our design and user experience insights to help improve such a valued institution.
