September is a busy time for events. Here in Brighton, there's the Digital Festival, packed full of events for the whole month. Many of those events will be happening right here at our 68 Middle Street event space.
Further afield, it seems like September is the month of choice for web conferences. I've just come back from a little European tour of a few conferences:
- Nordic.js in Stockholm,
- View Source in Berlin, and
- From The Front in Bologna.
I wasn't the only Clearlefty at that last one. Ben was also on stage delivering a fantastic talk on VUI: Voice User Interfaces. It was fantastic! If you're a conference organiser, you should get in touch—you won't regret adding Ben to your line-up.
The event-filled month isn't done yet. In a couple of days, myself and Richard will be travelling to Oslo to speak at the Making Web conference. I'll be talking about approaches for making resilient websites, and Richard will be talking about typography (surprise!). I'm very much looking forward to that.
Then as soon as I'm back in Brighton, it's time for this year's Indie Web Camp here at 68 Middle Street. If you're free that weekend, and you've got your own website (or you want your own website), you should come along.
As for events next month? Well, it's got to be the inaugural Leading Design conference at the Barbican in London—it's going to be great!
