Our super, type-tastic conference, Ampersand, will return in November - and we recently launched the very lovely website. Isn’t it spiffing?
If you haven’t already been to Ampersand, it’s an inspiring one day event for web designers and type enthusiasts, and you really should join us. If you have been before - you’ve got your ticket, right?! We’ve got another talented line-up of experts in typeface design, responsive typography, performance and cutting edge design and development. Just some of the fonty delights in store: Marcin Wichary will be going to hell for type for Medium, Jen Simmons will be consdering modern layouts and advanced CSS, Nick Sherman will be mulling over the Future of Responsive Typography, and Matthew Young will share his experiences Designing Pelican Books.
That’s not all. Our very own type connoisseur, Rich Rutter, will be running a Responsive Web Typography workshop the day before the conference. In this day-long session, he’ll be showing designers and developers how to create websites with engaging, distinctive, and readable web typography, which adapts for screens of all shapes and sizes. Plus, workshop tickets include entry to the conference, so why enjoy not one but two terriffically type-y days?
