2019: Self Treat

2019: Self Treat

Self Treat is a vision piece designed to increase self-management of minor health conditions.

The response to the challenge of helping the NHS do more with less generated a concept web app and supporting service design. These worked in tandem and integrated into a GP practice to minimise the public healthcare burden for self-treatable conditions.

The team were innovation designer Beyza Baran, UX designer Holly Wakefield, and multidisciplinary researcher Lacin Aksoy.

2015: Notice

Notice helps citizens understand what buildings are requesting planning permissions and what they can do about it.

Notice consisted of a family of three online electronic devices that provide an onstreet communication platform for planning applications and other city notices, replacing the text–heavy sheets of paper that currently reside on lamp posts throughout cities.

The team were interaction designer Chloe Finlayson, industrial product designer Chris Green, and hacking/coding artist Monika Bansal.

2013: Chüne

2013: Chüne

Chüne is an internet-connected social music speaker that intelligently curates playlists depending on who is around, and how much fun they’re having.

Chüne allowed social music listeners to tap their phone on the speaker to add their taste to a shared playlist, while an app keeps track of what they like to listen to and lets Chüne know.

The team were roboticist Zassa Kavuma, communication designer Kilian Bochnig, and industrial designer Victor Johansson.
