Clearleft is a multi-award winning digital design agency with a global reputation, working with international brands including Spotify, Virgin, Penguin and John Lewis. We are looking for an experienced marketing manager to develop communication strategies, tell the story of our work, and continually raise our profile, ultimately driving opportunities and new business.
About the role
You will work closely with our founding partners to develop and deliver our marketing strategy. This will include researching and analysing market trends and our target markets, planning and managing the launch of new products and services, and reporting on the effectiveness of campaigns.
You will be responsible for delivering content marketing campaigns across digital and social platforms. You’ll work with all members of staff, including the leadership team and design practitioners, to help them share their experience with the wider community through posts, articles and speaking opportunities.
You will form relationships with industry magazines, online publications, and conference organisers to help us reach new and diverse audiences. You’ll also use these skills to bond with the local digital community, connecting us with the abundant creative and technical talent in Brighton.
Our growing events portfolio is a huge part of our company business and culture, with industry–leading conferences like UX London and Leading Design. Working alongside our events manager, you will collaborate to capture the energy and excitement of these events and market them to a new generation of attendees.
You have demonstrable experience in marketing and communications. Ideally you will have worked agency-side, but you could also be from a brand background. You are comfortable with social media, and experienced in driving compelling and creative marketing campaigns across all channels. You have experience using Mailchimp and CRM tools.
You have a flair for communicating clearly with ease and straightforward charisma, and are comfortable working independently and swiftly. You have a deep appreciation for design, and a fascination with the trends affecting our digital lives. Ultimately you are a strategic thinker, and someone who cares deeply about what you do, and the people around you.
What we can offer
This is a permanent position, ideally full time, with a competitive salary depending on experience.
We’ll provide you with a wonderful place to work, surrounded by friendly and talented individuals. We go out of our way to create a happy, supportive and positive working environment. You’ll be based in our lovely office near Brighton seafront. We enjoy each other’s company and have a vibrant social life with Friday drinks, birthday lunches, country walks, day-trips to London and beyond, family barbecues on our terrace and movie nights in our auditorium. We believe health and wellbeing are vital to a positive working life so we provide 30 days annual holiday. We also offer flexible working hours and have pilates once a week at the office. Other benefits include a significant training budget, employer-contributed pension, and a cycle to work scheme.
